The capital of the German Federal State of Bavaria has a population of 1.3 million which makes it the third largest city in Germany.
Located on the River Isar and north of the Bavarian Alps, Munich is a charming city with many impressing and significant sights like the Hofbräuhaus, Marienplatz or the Frauenkirche. Furthermore, its cultural traditions like the Okoberfest, make Munich a town one of a kind and therefore one of Europe's most prosperous places. Munich is known as "die Weltstadt mit Herz" (world city with a heart). There are many interesting, funny, charming and impressing people, sights and things, Munich and Bavaria are famous for. The landmark of Munich for example is "die Frauenkirche".
