Cabot Trail is a beautiful highway in the Canadian province of Nova Scotia. One of the 25 hiking paths in the Cape Breton Highlands National Park, offers spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean and the cliffs that rise in almost every direction from its boardwalk. Precisely located in northern Victoria County and Inverness County on Cape Breton Island.

The route measures 298 km (185 miles) in length and complete the circle around the northern tip of the island, passing along and through the beautiful Cape Breton Highlands. It is named after explorer John Cabot who landed in Atlantic Canada in 1497, although most historians agree was the possibility of landing in Newfoundland and Cape Breton Island. Development route is completed early in 1932.

History fans will love the Cabots Landing Provincial Park and National Historic Site where explorer John Cabot first landed in North America in 1497. Overlooking Aspy Bay, Cabots Landing offers a picnic area and plenty of space to soak up the sunshine coast.
