Hagia Sophia Istanbul If you are coming to Istanbul for a visit, one of the places that you should definitely visit is Hagia Sophia Museum. It was built in 532 by the famous byzantine emperor Justinian I. It was used as a patriarchate in the first years of its founding. After the conquest of Istanbul by Fatih Sultan Mehmed, Hagia Sophia was converted into a mosque. Now, it is used as a museum and waits for its visitors. Hagia Sophia is accepted as the 8th wonder of the world. It is among the most visited museums of the world. 

Where is Hagia Sophia situated?
The museum is situated in Eminönü and you can get there from every point. With trolley car you can reach there from Sultanahmed square.

What is the cost?
The entrance fee for Hagia Sophia with gallery floor is 25 TL. You can also enter the museum with museum card. If you don’t have a card for the museum you can get one from the ticket office in front of the museum. By using this card you can also visit other museums near Hagia Sophia. Museum card is valid for 6 months and its price is 30 TL. If you are a student you can get it buy paying 15 TL. This card can be used in every part of our country.
